One small thing, every day
Zidequest gives you one Zidequest a day. Not a list, not a feed, not a streak of things you were supposed to have done already. One small, doable thing, out in your own neighborhood, with a phone you barely have to look at.
You tell it roughly what the weather is doing, it gives you something that suits it, and you either go and do it or you do not. When you are finished you take a photograph, and that photograph is yours.
What it will not do
There is no feed. Zidequest has no way to find another person, no user search, no suggested friends, and no public profile. The only way anybody reaches you is if you hand them an invite code and they use it.
It never asks for your location. Not once, not optionally, not buried in a setting. Choosing the temperature and the sky yourself replaced the weather lookup entirely, which is why the app has no location permission to grant.
Your photographs are private. They sit in a private bucket, and when you do a Zidequest together with somebody, neither of you sees the other's photo until you have both finished.
It will not nag you. There is one optional morning reminder and nothing else. Zidequest sends no marketing notifications, and turning the switches off means we send you nothing at all.
Who makes it
Zidequest is Analisse Sands' idea. She wanted something that got people off the couch and into the actual world, one small adventure at a time, and the shape of the app is hers: the one a day, the icon row that tells you what you are signing up for before you say yes, the streak that rewards showing up rather than performing.
It is built by JArch Designs, LLC, a small independent studio. There is no venture money behind it and no growth team. It is paid for by people who subscribe and by ads shown to people who have not.
