Delete your account

If you still have the app

Open Zidequest, go to Profile, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete account. It asks once to be sure, and then it is done.

If you have already uninstalled it

You do not need to reinstall. Sign in here on the web with the same email or the same Google or Apple account, open Profile, and use Delete account there.

Sign in to delete your account

If you cannot sign in

Email privacy@zidequest.com from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will check that the address matches the account before removing anything, and we will reply when it is done. Allow up to 30 days, though in practice it is a lot sooner.

What gets deleted

Your profile and username. Your streak and every streak save. Every Zidequest in your history, whether you finished it, skipped it or never opened it. Every photo you took, deleted from storage and not merely unlinked. Your notification settings and your device registrations, so nothing can be sent to you again. Your co-op party memberships. Any reports you filed and anybody you blocked. Your sign in itself, so the email or the social account is free to be used again.

What stays, and why

Three things survive, and none of them is attached to you any more.

Zidequests you wrote and we published stay in the library, with your name taken off them. Other people may be part of the way through one, and pulling it would break their day.

Co-op parties you created stay, without a creator. Other people's finished Zidequests hang off those parties and deleting yours would delete their record of something they did.

If you ever bought anything, one purchase record stays: which store, the store's own transaction id, which product, and when. Your name and email are not part of it. It is what stops a single receipt being redeemed over and over on new accounts, so we keep it for as long as the store lets that receipt be restored.

Subscriptions themselves are not ours to cancel. If you have Zidequest Plus, cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings, and do that BEFORE deleting your account, because afterwards we have no way to look it up for you.

It cannot be undone

There is no restore and no grace period. A deleted streak is gone, and so are the photos. If you only want to stop the notifications, you do not need to delete anything: turn them off in Profile under Notifications.
